Raukkan Coorong Trail
The Murray Coorong trail was initiated in 2015 as a collaborative project between three regional Councils’, the Rural City of Murray Bridge, the Mid Murray Council and the Coorong District Council.
The project sees the development of a recreation trail for walking and bike riding, which will eventually stretch over 450 kilometres from Cadell in the Riverland to Salt Creek in the Coorong National Park.
Neo’s Regional division has had an active role in delivering this initiative having recent completed Stage 4 of the project (Raukkan – on the banks of Lake Alexandrina near the mouth of the Murray River and Lake Albert) and the section between Swan Reach and Nildottie (design and construct). All up over 24km of path is under construction incorporating public amenities along the routes.

Huddleston Floodway
Located on the Huddleston to Georgetown Road (an important thoroughfare and freight route), this project provided many challenges.
Our experienced regional crews had to overcome extensive dewatering, managing the discharge from underground springs, dealing with and working in thick river mud and silt accumulation, piling to rock, and minimising any damage to the ecological footprint of the watercourse and its surrounds.
Construction included the pile supported low flow culvert structure, 525m2 reinforced concrete deck, concrete cut out kerbing, rock protection, signage and approach roadworks.
